I mentioned in my previous writing journey post that I wanted to “figure out what I’m going to do to celebrate” accomplishing a writing goal. Well, I decided!
One of the phrases I have come to love is “don’t give up on your daydream.” That phrase has special meaning for me since I was known as a daydreamer all through school. And the teachers were right. I daydreamed all the time.
I daydreamed everywhere. But my daydreams did not consist of the expected girlish fantasies. Instead, they involved bad guys. And tigers. I would imagine bad guys coming in to wherever I was and what I could do to fight them or protect those around me. This either took the form of a “real world” scenario or fantastical.
My daydream as an adult is to write similar stories. So, finding a mug with that phrase seemed fitting. I looked and looked and looked on Amazon and other places. Yet, I could not find a style of mug that resonated. So, I designed my own.
Now, my means to celebrate has extra special meaning; not just in the phrase I chose. The font for most of the phrase is an old typewriter font, perfect for a writer! The font for the word daydream is elegantly drawn out, symbolizing dreaming. The drawn heart represents how much I love this dream of creating!
What do you need to celebrate? And, what would be a meaningfully great way to celebrate it?
