Finished Feedback & ITW

I finished reading through my beta reader feedback – W00t!

I shared some of the fun comments in my last “writing journey” post, but here are some more 😊

  • You’re really good at hinting at things.
  • THIS GUY IS SO SCARY
  • Really liking the contrast between the two with their “survival” modes
  • Why am I feeling any sort of compassion for a criminal? 😉
  • Your main character is a strong blend of troubled and likable, and she experienced a ton of character development throughout the story.
  • Your action sequences are very good! I could picture what was going on and was amazed at what you can visualize!

Now on to rewriting a few things for clarification and momentum. Meanwhile…

I joined International Thriller Writers (ITW)! I’m super excited about this because they have a broad definition of thriller:

This would include (but isn’t limited to) such subjects as murder mystery, detective, suspense, horror, supernatural, action, espionage, true crime, war, adventure, and myriad similar subject areas.

Their mission is…

To bestow recognition and promote the thriller genre at an innovative and superior level for and through our Active members; to provide opportunities for mentoring, education and collegiality among thriller authors and industry professionals; and to grant awards for excellence in the thriller genre.

And…

One of the main purposes of the organization is to provide a way for successful, bestselling authors to help debut and midlist authors advance their careers.

I’m looking forward to what this next month brings 😊
